The CULTEX® RFS Compact versions of our exposure modules combine all the advantages characterizing our high-precision CULTEX® RFS, high stability and robustness of the exposure process – essential precondition for the generation of reproducible data. The CULTEX® RFS Compact is designed for housing one type of cell culture insert size and can also be equipped with the CULTEX® Electrical Deposition Device for an enhanced particle deposition.
The new modular system consists of two main parts, the aerosol guiding module and the sampling module housing six cell culture inserts, which can be separately supplied with medium. The module can be used for analyzing the biological effects of the test atmosphere in all insert positions. Another option allows an exposure of the cultures to the test atmosphere and clean air (negative control) in parallel by guiding the aerosol via the central inlet to 3 insert positions whereas the remaining 3 insert positions are connected to clean air.
